Hi there! Let me first introduce myself––my name is Yanika and I'm the Founder of Silver Aisle. I was born and raised in Sri Lanka, and spent five years away––four in California, and a year in London. I love all things tech, design, and innovative, and that has been the soul of Silver Aisle.
Hi! This is me!
The idea of creating an online wedding gift registry first came about in 2019 after having spent YEARS listening to my parents’ joke about receiving ten tea sets at their wedding. The more I spoke to friends and family, the more I realized that everyone had their own version of tea sets. Therefore, the mission of Silver Aisle became quickly apparent: have an extensive but curated selection of the highest quality products from an array of brands on one platform, and enable couples to create the registry-of-their-dreams in just one click.
The Registry Edit is going to be a monthly column, where I will note down a few special pieces that I personally think are a must for every registry!
The Edit
The perfect registry, in my opinion, includes a collection of thoughtful, timeless staples that are practical, durable, and of high-quality, combined with those dreamy accent pieces that give your space personality and character (and the things you may never buy for yourself otherwise!)

Between planning a wedding and moving into a new home, your bank account might not be loving you at the moment. This is one reason I always encourage couples to add high-value necessities like a good quality fridge, TV, Washing Machine, etc. onto their registry because the pooling function will enable this gift to actually be purchased! (and will save you a pretty penny in the process).
